Visitors Center
Words from our Pastors

Our vision is to make a positive impact upon the Ikosi community and beyond by creating a family center where all are welcome - a place where all individuals and families can grow and flourish in faith and discover and fulfill God's plan for their lives. The House of Refuge is a diverse congregation representing people from a variety of backgrounds, nations, races and ages.

The pastors and members of House of Refuge have a confident vision of faith for compassionately impacting the immediate community, our environs, Nigeria and other nations as the Holy Spirit directs. We strive to be a vibrant, active, and caring church, making a difference in our community and spreading the Gospel. This takes effort on everyone's part. It takes each one of us working together and combining our gifts, talents, interests and abilities to become the Church God calls us to be.

House of Refuge is known for its spirit of worship, prophetic preaching, generosity, faith in the goodness of God and warm Christian love. Our prayer for you is that the God of all grace will anoint you with fresh oil and His precious Spirit will overshadow you and enable you to birth the destiny within you.

May He empower you to effectively reach out to others with the hope that He has given you to persevere the struggles that you have overcome and continue to overcome.
We declare that you are blessed in your going out and coming in and in all that you do. May the will and purpose of God find its expression in your life. We covet your prayers, support and love; they are important to us.

Blessings

Rotimi and Aduke

- CHANGE: The Pathway to a Transformed Life -

A butterfly in its embryonic stage is known as a larva, or caterpillar. The caterpillar is what translates or metamorphose into a beautiful and colorfully radiant butterfly. This process of change is indispensable for the evolving caterpillar as it keeps digging and burrowing its way out of its protective cocoon in order to begin the journey of life.

This painful but necessary process strengthens its wings, prepares and equips it for the challenge of the sky, a place of dominion that must be conquered with strong, flapping wings. For the butterfly-to-be caterpillar to remain in its comfort-zone cocoon is to suffer still-birth and permanent deformity, thus becoming useless for life.
