A New Thing
By Aduke Obey | December Sat 12, 2009

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.   For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called:  and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”( Romans.28-30 KJV)

Life is full of people with broken dreams and truncated destinies, living in the wilderness of self-defeat. For such, their experiences are usually clothed in different shades of pain and sense numbing-trauma. They don’t believe in the place called tomorrow, or a new beginning.

The ability to rise from the ashes of defeat and start afresh in the joy and strength of the Lord is what makes the difference between success and failure. This is what Thomas Edison, the inventor of electricity, did when he lost his laboratory, the power house of his dream, in a fire inferno. As he watched his future burnt up into an irretrievable debris, he made up his mind to embark on a new beginning at the age of 67! He was not afraid to start all over again.

Life is full of vicissitudes, challenges and mind-blinding circumstances. In spite of these difficulties, God’s word stands solidly as an anchor to take you to your promised land. God does not want you to remain where you are. Put your eyes on the future. Envision your destiny. Plan your life, because in life, nothing just happens. Nobody can build a befitting house without a plan. God is the master builder with the divinely approved blueprint for your life. Ask Him for your life’s blueprint and build your life on His approved plan To live a successfully designed life, think out of the box!

To become the recipient of God’s new beginning for your life, the following are prerequisites that must be met:
To enter into your future and a new beginning which God has ordained for you, you must forget your past, no matter how ugly they are! We all have a past! Soak yourself daily in the word of God.
Have a picture, a clear-cut roadmap to a future that would leave a standing testament and legacy in the sand of time when you are gone.

The only thing in life that is constant is change. Amend your ways and make yourself receptive to a new beginning. True change of the human mind and spirit is entrenched in the word of God!
Have you failed before? Stand up and move on! “Yesterday is in the tomb and tomorrow is in the womb”. God will do a new thing in your life. Be filled with expectations. You will always find possibilities and opportunities in every situation that you are passing through. Ask God to help you to locate them.
